Some Vices are best kept to yourself. We have bottled and cellared some varietals for Wine Club & Limited Release…
BATCH #37, Petit VERDOT, OAK KNOLL DISTrICT, 2018
“BOND’s BATCH” - SINGLE VINEYARD
We named this batch after “Bond” since Petit Verdot is a secretive grape varietal with so much class and character. A varietal hard to catch on its own, we trapped a tiny amount of it in 420 bottles only, making it our smallest batches that we crafted to date.
Black Cherries and plums are present on the nose along floral notes of violets, lilac, dried herbs and cigar box. The robe on the palate is dense with so many distinctive flavors that emerge with time. Dark berries marmalade, Kalamata olives, almond paste, toasted marshmallow, cinnamon spice to name a few…
Release Date: December 23rd, 2020

BATCH #28, Petite Sirah, Mount Veeder, 2017
SINGLE VINEYARD
Just about as inky and dark as you’d expect from high-elevation Petite Sirah grapes, the concentration is impressive—and addictive. Packed with dark cherry, currant, violet and a bold tannin structure, the layers of minerally graphite evoke rocky mountain vineyard terrain, though everything remains lifted despite its density. The lengthy, espresso-tinged finish is as gratifying as you would expect.
For all the polish of the 2017 Vice Petite Sirah, there’s also a profound mineral component and freshness derived from a cooler, longer growing season. The combination of power and focus is memorable—this red is energetic and engaging through and through.

BATCH #27, red wine “Tri blend”, Napa Valley, 2017
limited release
This special and unique wine combines two of my favorite vices: wine and triathlon. Triathlon is 3 distinctive disciplines and this wine is a blend of 3 distinctive grapes. In triathlon, you have to consistently train for a long season and excel at all 3 sports during a race to score a victory. As in triathlon, I’ve worked very hard for the past 3 years to craft 3 unique wines from 3 vineyards of Napa Valley to blend this winner!

BATCH #13, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, Napa Valley, 2017
“american paradox”
91 Points, Wine Spectator (March 2020)
92 Points, James Sucking (April 2020)
“In the early 90’s, wine was promoted as a key element of a healthy diet under the term French Paradox. To most, a daily glass of wine blessed them with a lifetime of recreation and pleasure. To me, a daily bottle of wine suavely aligned me in a lifelong path in which; wine is my livelihood, my passion and my #1 Vice”.
